hi guys, bought this today in a junk shop. it is painted/printed in reverse on glass. the guy in the shop didnt know what it was/where it came from, but reckoned it is from the 1920s or 30s, but i suspect it could be from anywhen up to the late fifties.
i intend to make a light box to illuminate it and use it as a floor lamp
anyway here she is

Looks more 80,s 90,s with the colour shading and print and also lettering is modern . i am sure there used to be a dealers called this???

They serviced loud speakers, PA systems - gear used in discos, amps etc.

i think it unlikely it is american considering the fragility of it. i looked into mackie dj equipment, and they started in 1984, but i cant see the style of the sign really fitting with their business style.?
as for the age, it may be 80s or 90s, but it just doesnt have that sort of look, unless someone was deliberately trying to make it look older, as the colours are fairly dull. there is a car dealership in scotland by this name, but seeing as i bought it in portsmouth, is it likely to have travelled all that way?

It is DEFINITELY pre-1950s and possibly of U.S. origin. Apart from that I can't say any more.
