After a good run today the heater went cold , pulling into the first available layby I assumed there was no water in the engine and would be overheating . There was plenty water in the engine and engine running at a good temperature . Any ideas appreciated :o

It's usually a sign of low water level....... but could be a sign that gas is getting into the cooling circuit - from a leaky head gasket...... Or perhaps the fan belt is slack? Or simply that the heater valve has slipped shut? Did you by any chance buzz through Hamilton on friday??

Oh well - a Minor buzzed through the top cross near lunch time. Could be a hose kinked shut - but how that could suddenly happen I don't know.....
