Fitting an oil pressure gauge

Hi chaps,
my oil pressure gauge arrived this morning, which I hope to fit to my 1275cc Ital engined '69 4 door saloon. I'm confident enough that I can fit it as it just requires the old pressure switch to be removed and the adaptor and tee piece screwed in its place. My question is where is the best place to pass the oil pipe through the bulkhead. I've had a look around but there doesn't seem to be a suitable existing hole for it to pass through. I'm guessing that i'm going to have to drill a hole for it to pass through.
What have other members used or done to solve this problem?
Regards
John
