Hi all, well my diff has started whining so I want to recon it. Does anyone know who would supply shims and the crush spacer ?
Ive done a search and dont want to hear about big speakers, saw dust or live with it . Its a 3.7 so worth in my opinion reconing just need to find the bits.
Do people rearly put saw dust in the diff ???
Thanks

Thanks for that but its the wifes car. You can tell her to live with it Ive put the old 4.2 diff in for now so there is no rush but having never rebuilt a diff I thought ill give it a go.
Hi - not sure if this works well with minor diffs but I had the same problem with my old E30 BMW - drain off the old fluid and replenish with new fluid - whine was instantly reduced to a barely audiable hum!

Sory wrong forum for that sort of chat
its all my own doing. I changed the oil seal and did the nut up with a windy gun. I think I probably crushed the spacer and upset the backlash. BMC posted a link for all the parts so ill get around to it some day
