Stainless don't rust but have a duller finish. Chrome is more shiny but is prone to rust. I have fitted stainless so don't worry about corrosion making them look untidy.

Just keep the chromework polished. Modern chrome is usually crxp, you will be lucky to get through 2-3 years before it flakes.

We've gone the stainless steel route. They've been on one car, then moved to another for about 5 years now. Outside all year round and no problems. Look as good as new.

Hi,
Mine are stainless and they shine up a treat, so I won't be swapping back! :D
Best wishes,
Mike.

Photos as requested. Note the stainless hubcaps (seen on the car) have a slightly duller finish, which I actually prefer.[frame]Image[/frame]

Here we can see what happens when the chrome starts to fail and rust sets in. They look very untidy. The bottom hubcap was in similar condition to the rusty one, but I rubbed it down with 500 grit (I think - so as not to scratch the chrome) wet-or-dry, used wet, and it was almost as 'good as new'. I smeared it with an oily rag to preserve it but then made the switch to stainless.[frame]Image[/frame]
