A lesson learned! Having worked away at ROG's paintwork he is all nice and shiny and was only let down by the still rather dull roof. I decided to set to work with Tcut and my rotary polisher. Tcut on roof, sponge on polisher, sponge onto Tcut and start. Hmmm. Tcut sprayed in every direction including all over me! Taking more care I carried on and the roof sparkles and now matches the rest of the car, except that the rest of the car is now splattered with Tcut which has sprayed into every crevice. It took me a long time to get it all washed off and I am still finding 'sprayed' bits. The polisher and Tcut have done a great job but if you are tempted for goodness sake wear overalls and eye protection and mask off the rest of the car/garage/house and anything else within range or a 30 minute job will end up taking hours.

Sounds more like a 'rotary polisher word of warning' to me!

True. Having said that, it working well with the rubbing compound but Tcut is that much more liquid.

Just thought I would inform you that many years ago I worked in a spray shop and I was told that when you use any kind of rubbing back compound like T cut the paint work is left porous and should have a good polish to protect it .hope this helps.

I always use farcela g3 or g10 which is not as course, t cut seems alot harder work and hard to buff of if left to dry for more then a minute.... and yes a buffer gets it every where!

After the Tcut comes lashings of Autoglym which seems to seal it all up well. I have actually put a coat of Autoglym over the varnish on the wood just see if it helps to keep water out of the joints over the winter.

Well worth a try, we going to get alot of rain they say this winter and the joints and seems will get attacked on travellers....

a tip for you all is that if you should find yourself using T-cut you may find that its hard work to remove it fully so after you've killed your arms or got the smooth finish your after get yourself some polish(even the cheapest stuff will work) simply apply some polish as normal over the top of the T-cut and wipe off..... sorted all signs of the T-cut are gone dead easy
