Re: spray job
Seems a bit cheap to me - are you doing all the prep work first? A proper prep and respray can cost £1,500 - £3,000

Re: spray job
Could just be a 'blow over'. Ask him for 3 contacts of people whose cars he has recently resprayed - so you can look at their cars and talk to them. If he won't do that - run away - fast!

Re: spray job
hes done a two door blue moggy already which i have been told was in abit of a state before this guy worked on it and a guy who lives near me has a 1955 austin a30 van which he has resprayed dark green and is very neat always nice and shinny and always out in all weather and winter and hasnt had trouble with the paint or body yet
he said it would be stripped to the metal any thing which needs attention will be sorted and he also takes photos at each stage(i have seen the one photos of the van above and have to say looks impressive through the stages

Re: spray job
Well in that case - you can't beat personal recommendation - go for it! Find out what paint he will use - ghastly 2K or cellulose - or perhaps a modern water based paint?
