Not a make we know Sandun - but yes 14mm is correct - they should be 'long' - not short.

Autolite is an American company. I have a supply of Autolite 425 short reach plugs for side valve engines.
I do not know what the correct Autolite plug is for M1000

Autolite 53 appears to be the equivalent of the Champion N9Y for the Minor.

Copper plugs are more expensive and I can't see how they would better the performance of a standard engine.

Not familiar with the NGK system - I always use good old Champions myself. But I think they will be fine.

Sandun,
NGK BP6ES will absolutely perfect! You asked about Autolite, which is why I gave you the cross-reference of Autolite 53 from the UK standard plug, which is the Champion N5, or N9Y.

Incidentally, can you still obtain Champs here? I've always been sold NGK (which I've never had problems with). But it'd be nice to support the home team.
