Correct colour for engine 1098 traveller 1964

I know GREEN is the colour but I would Like to know the colour nr.

You can but the correct colour from most of the parts suppliers now. I know that ESM have it in stock. :D

Carlos - I've checked our supplier's websites and all they say is "Engine Paint". No one gives a paint code .

The nearest suggestion try BS381/222 - Light Bronze green paint It comes from the Land Rover paint charts.

It can be mixed in a heat resistant formula

It is indeed a British Standards colour as Lou says. For my 803 when it is ready I have picked Pru Blue from the same chart as it seems each batch of paint was slightly different then, I suppose it was whatever they could get hold of and mix up in the post-war years. Grey/blue is the colour of 803 engines unless I paint it gold where some people would instantly pay more money for it. :lol: :wink:
