brake fluid containers

I've only seen brake fluid in dark coloured containers, anyone know if there's a reason for this? I ask because I need to decant into another container which is plastic but virtually clear. I'm thinking of light sensitive, or am I crazy!

May be a certain plastic that is brake fluid resistant, and only available in opaque...
Or may just be to cover the odd colour of brake fluid. Might not look that attractive in a clear vessel!
Decant into a glass bottle/jar. Glass is pretty much every-safe... except dropping-safe.

Might have answered my own question here. It's just occured to me that the container that holds the fluid in vehicles is clear, indicating that there should be no ill effects of storing in a clear container. Now the only doubt, as Chris mentioned, is possibly the type of plastic.

I have a coke bottle half full of brake fluid from bleeding some brakes around 4 years ago. Doesn't seem too bad..

Also some plastics are permeable. I don't think wine stores to well long term in plastic bottles as gases pass one way or the other. I have a bottle of cine film cleaning fluid that is now nearly empty after a few years of no use. Bottle hasn't visibly leaked.

Brake fluid is hydroscopic so needs to be kept in a sealed container

But some Brake Fluid Reservoirs are plastic ( different types ? ) Don't store in Coke bottles, there could be confusion in the garage if children are around.

It's on a high shelf, and it's in a workshop (not many kids around)
