fuel pump

hi all , on the SU fuel pump is there any routine servicing involved or just leave well alone till it packs up , its running fine at the moment with no problems :-?

Well if it's running fine...

Only maintenance needed is to remove the plastic cap and clean up the contact points by running some notepaper through them whilst holding them together lightly. And remove the filter from the base to clean it. Do this say every 3000 miles/once a year.
