Hi All,

Im brand new to this site, and I just wanted to start documenting the restoration of "Millie". My 1968 Snowberry White two door saloon :)

I got my Moggie back in June, where I found it at a farm in Tewkesbury so we took a bit of a drive down from Leicestershire, and came back with this beauty...

Image

It had been sitting in a Barn since 1991 (before i was even born  ) from when it failed an MOT and they just never got round to getting it back on the road, and it seemed to have been forgotten about. So it has been dry stored for 21 years and is perfect for my first restoration, as it is in relatively good nick.

I got it back home, and we had a really good look round it.

I got her running the weekend I got her by stripping and cleaning the fuel pump and carburettor, cleaning the spark plugs, unblocking the main fuel pipe, a little bit of fresh petrol also helps :)
She ran sweet as anything seen as she hasn't been started in about 10 years!

As you can see from the pictures she is in very good shape, and hopefully wont take alot to get her back to pristine condition, which is what i want 8)

I then took to stripping it out inside as I want redo the interior eventually possibly in red, and to have a better look at the floor and again it is solid as a rock (this is the point i started thinking ive fallen on a little gem here  )

I managed to get some brand new fibreglass wings on the cheap of eBay for her, but they have yet to go on, well and three of the ones have got to come off aswell :)
I also managed to get some Traveller door tops, hockey sticks etc from the national rally in Kelmarsh which is always handy.

Now i really need to crack on with this project as i need her all done by February at the latest, which should be easy to be honest.

As this is my first project / restoration, and being only 20 years young  i am open to all advice and opinions and welcome all comments and help

Thanks for looking
Luke

Looks pretty good to me - good piccys! :D Sounds like what you need is a tame Morris fan close by who can help you out a bit - but you'll have to get cracking and stop lying in bed for so long at the weekends! I know what you youngsters are like! Good luck with ti all and hope to see it on the road soon!

Do you know what it failed on?
Some picture of the underneath where the MOT man looks would be interesting too!
The floor looks nice and sound which is a good start.

Not sure what it failed on, but I've got alot of the paperwork so something might be in there but I haven't checked through it yet, my GFs dad has a hydraulic ramp so I will try and get some pics up of underneath soon
