i was cleaning behind my gloveboxes and have found lots of the old fibre insualtion peeling off there and below round the heater. so i thought id buy a kit from esm or newton commercials, but they seem to have two kits, a one piece that esm call sound deadening and the two piece they call insulation. now i thought it best to just buy the two piece cos thats what it seemed to have originally and attach those pieces with fir tree clips again just like original. no rust there after decades so must work. but should i buy the piece of sound deadening as well, it looks just like another piece of insulation to me in the pictures? seems like overkill!
the item numbers from esm are TRM501 and TRM500
oh i do know the threads about using carpet underlay and stuff but i want it to look nice and original and be quite easy and also look slightly professional, and these things look the ticket
