Anyone seen the Pick-up in the latest mag? £11000ono !! Wonder if it sells.

Just had a look at the ebay one Louise, thought it might be the same one, a different green though! Prices seem to have taken a sudden leap, although I'm sure this isn't general.

A little bit overpriced perhaps! I like Pick ups but that is just way too expensive. I do hope that what has happened to Mini prices does not happen to Minors. Moggies have always been a cheap old fun car and long may that be so.

11 grand for a Minor?? No way.

It's a pickup, there weren't that many made, then they had very hard working lives for the most part.
It's hardly surprising they fetch premium prices.

Hardly concourse... Headlamp peaks, non-lcv front bumper, external visor, those seats...

If someone thinks it's worth that kind of money and is prepared to pay it, why be so negative?

Classic Car prices vary considerably (even for cars of a similar 'marque') and you cannot simply blanket define what an individual car is worth.

The 'Market' will decide.

I attended the Pembrokeshire County Run yesterday and was asked if I wanted to sell my Panda. I told the gent that If I decided to sell it I would have to sell it along with all the Police gear it contained and my asking price would be £10k. The gent looked at me and reached into his pocket for his wallet bit I got in quick with the words "Sorry this is Not for sale" but if your really serious I would give him 1st refusal.
With money hard to come by and my daughters wedding next year I better hide for a few weeks before my wife finds out.

Supply and demand, 11 grand for a mid 60s two door, unlikely in my life time.
Travellers are more desirable, commercials rarer, assuming very good condition.
Original convertibles tended to rot out faster than saloons, all Minors are not equal by any means.

Anything pre 72 is road tax exempt, most cars will do 35 mpg or so which compares well with a lot of modern petrol cars of a similar size, parts are readily available and not expensive compared to modern cars, servicing can be done by anybody with basic DIY skills with NO computers required, so more people are realising the benefits of running a classic as a run about

Factor in the cost of insurance for a 'young driver' on a 'classic' v modern car and suddenly the supply of good condition classics can't meet the demand, so market forces dictate that you have to pay more to acquire one............

So don't be fooled into undervaluing your car.

A good condition, restored example can command good money these days.
