How to test vacuume shuking of carburetor of MM 1000

I want to test the vacuum unit of MM 1000 - so I have test Distributor vacuum parts ,all are fine - then i want to test The carburetor how to air shucking
so i bring a injection Syringe and set to the vacuum pipe of carburetor like pic A - then I start car and raise the car . I think ,if the carburetor Shucking air ,the Syringe handle must come up Like pic B - But Syringe not change ,it not come up like pic B-
so I think the carburetor not shuck air ,think have a problem - plz can you tell me - the test that i did wrong or correct ?
Mr . Roy the distributor vacuum - i can not to test from mouth ,Bcz not enough mouth presser - but it can move using injection syringe - have any problem ? is it must can move from mouth ?[frame]Image[/frame]

I'd be very surprised indeed if the vacuum from the carb is strong enough to move a syringe!

Either you have very poor lungs/mouth - or the dizzy vac unit is very tight. It should easily move with lung power. Never heard of anyone testing a carb like that - I would just probe the passage with a wire.

There is nothing to go wrong with the carb end, unless it has become blocked somehow, it's just a hole.

So to slightly hijack the thread, if the vacuum unit will move when sucked with a syringe but not under mouth power can it be loosened with wd40 or should it be replaced?

Try disconnecting the vacuum pipe, blocking it, then driving the car.
That's the acid test, if it makes no difference the unit is toast, if the engine lacks pep the unit is fine, reconnect it.

I think I'll be having the result of the test for breakfast with marmite.
