I found this in a box of bits
What is it?
What does it do?
Is it complete?
Is it worth fitting?
Are there any other questions I have forgotten to ask?

It's an early example of electronic ignition
Replaces the points.
Yes.
No.

Does it work? (almost certainly not)

Looks a tad complex with all the wires and presumably no diagram with it. Might be of interest to a collector of early car accessories if this is a 1st generation electronic ign?

You can still buy surefire electronic ignition systems ,might be worth an ask

Well it says SUREFIRE solid state ignition.
Patent pending.
12v, CW, pts, c- and +
TDC I guess and conv as far as I can tell.

I think flux capacitors come with a scotch bloke who says stuff like ye cannae break the laws of physics!
Is there one of them in the box? :D
