A few to choose from here. The multibuy offer is good value.

I like to use a better quality oil than the Wilko one - not that there's anything wrong with it. Halfords do a Classic 20/50 that is very like the old Duckhams oil used to be. About £18 for a gallon(equivelant) can.

Wilko is fine for a Minor - just don't expect it to last for ever.....

If there`s nothing wrong with it then why not use it? Personally if I do the recommended mileage for an oil change then the oil and filter gets changed, if not, the oil gets changed along with the filter every year just before the MOT.
An extra £8 for a tin instead of a plastic bottle is the only difference I can see between the oils (though I am not a chemist and cant test the composition of the oil) :D

Dont take my comments personally, you pays your money you makes your choice. This is only my opinion :D

Last time I used cheap oil like this, which was 'specially blended for older, higher mileage vehicles' (which reads your car is a worn out banger so it doesn't matter if you use this muck), it smelt foul in the can and the engine sounded rough after only a thousand - if that - miles.

If you bought say a brand new BMW and used cheap oil and then came to make a claim for a mechanical defect, they could refuse on the grounds that poor oil was used.

As I said "You pays your money you makes your choice"

But look at this, http://www.autosessive.com/9/section.as ... W50_OIL_5L

Its slightly more expensive but then it is in a tin and not a plastic bottle and its made by the same manufacturer :D
