Soft rear springs

Post by southerly95 »

Convertible rear springs despite being in good nick are touching the rear bodywork over the eyebolt. Have bought new springs to replace but not absolutely sure whether the two strengthening bands go at the front or back

Pics tend to show them at the front but is that correct as would have thought that any stiftening is needed aty the back to help clear the bodywork? Cheers, John

Most new springs have the bands on both halves these days......but if only on one side - put them at the front. Use poly bushes (with white grease on them) - and drain/refill the dampers with SAE 40 oil. You will be amazed at the difference.
