Got a leaking rear damper. Is it possible to renew the seals without special equipment?

Not really - Declan ran an excellent overhaul thread - but a hydraulic press is involved, although I suppose a large vice could perhaps be used. Frankly - I would just look for another damper - or try to exchange that one........

As BMC says it is simpler to just get a recon/exchange unit, but as the exchange units are cheap I would seriously consider replacing them as a pair.
Not sure what other members opinions are on this?
