Just wondering if its possible to fit a glove box lid to a series II, as it only has the cubby boxes?
Thanks
Is it just me, but why ever did Morris change the dash from a series MM, with its clock etc, to my version, 1955 series II which looks really basic inside? Baffled

Dash changed to cut costs for LHD - RHD versions.

Your Series Two should have a lid on the glovebox like the one in the photo with the bull badge in the centre which some owners replace with a clock. In 1956 the dash layout changed with a centre speedometer.[frame]

No mine has the centre speedometre with two cubby boxes on either side, and it was registered in October 1955.
Is there any way to attach a glove box lid to the passenger side cubby hole then?

I have seen it done, I am sure the early 1000 had them for a few years, they should fit with self tapping screws! I was going to do this years ago and had a pair that fitted in the gaps, but I didn't get round to it!

Not sure why you want a glovebox lid - just hide stuff under the seat!
Also there is a very generous parcel shelf under the dash.
