Hi all
I bought a lovely barn find van off of someone on ebay about a year ago and only just got time to start on it, its going to be a nut and bolt restoration and I didn’t want to get to far and then find out I cant get it registered or something like that . Anyway the black and silver number on the left of the bulkhead is missing (is it called the vin number?) is it a big problem to find it out? Is it a big issue? There is the smaller number on the right hand side that I don’t know about. It does have the number plates. What I need to know is, is this enough to get the v5 and get her on the road? (while I’m here how do I know if it still has the low compression engine?)
Thanks in advance

Hi, If you have the registration number or log book then you should be able to obtain the chassi number there. It's easy to order a chassi plate from Charles Ware part dept in Bristol, the part numbers are AC15 for early plate and AC16 for later style. Cost is £5.50 or £4.50 plus VAT and it's about £25 for them to punch the numbers in. Hope this helps. Cheers Neil
