Is it the same master cylinder as was fitted before or a replacement? A friend had bought what he thought was a new old stock minor cylinder and it was sitting high like yours and was told it was from a riley 1.5 or wolseley.

The R/W master cylinders do not sit in the chassis leg.........

The cylinder should sit below the top of the chassis box section so something is wrong!

Definitely looks like the wrong master cylinder to me too.

Sure it's not just the angle of the shot? Is the body of the cylinder below the floor - and just the cap sticking up slightly?

When you replace it put the bolts the right way round!

If nothing else, the cap looks wrong.
If it works OK I'd use some strips of thick rubber to make a gasket which would lift the cover up enough to fit.

Hello everyone
Thank you very much for the help and sorry for the delay, worked all wekend,
the master cylinder sits on the chassis leg so there s no way to lower it more, i took the car apart 5 years ago and this one was on it.I am not sure if he was this hight. i Have replased the chassi leg and when i was fitting the master cylinder i start seeing that he sits to high, the top cover is not even fitting right, mabe is the rong one.
does anyone know the size of the other model?

Might have been an error in replacing the chassis leg?
