Not sure what carb I have but will a hs2 1 1/4" pancake filter fit?
I have a little 90degree neck between my air filter and carb with a butterfly nut holding my filter down

Re: Carb
Important you know what carb you've got. They all have different air filter fixing dimensions.
HS4's on marinas also had 90 degree elbows with a wing nut holding the filter on. So you description could just as easily by a HS4 as a HS2.
Care to post a picture? Or measure the diameter of the mouth of the carb.

Re: Carb
Post up the link! I would advise buying a filter suitable for the larger 1.5" carb - so you can still use it when you finally upgrade to the better carb. And no - on a standard engine it really won't make any difference - and it will be much noisier.......

Re: Carb
buying one for a bigger carb, to fit on a smaller carb, won't necessarily work. Different centre hole size for starters, but the other holes won't be in the right place either.
If you're keeping the carb you've got, buy a filter to suit. If you're changing carb soon, then wait and get a filter to fit that!
