I re-comissioned my Minor over the winter including fitting new hoses.
When checking it over yesterday I noticed that the top and bottom hoses are starting to perish where they are connected to the rad and block. I bought the more expensive "Kevlar" re-enforced hoses as well.
Not as bad as to cause a failure but I would expect new hoses to last years rather than months.
My guess is they could have been sitting in the stockists warehouse in daylight for years or simply that the quality is Pxxx Poor.
Is it a case that you have to pay £9.00 for a hose that lasts 12 months or £15.00 for a hose that lasts 10 years but no one would pay £15.00?
Makes me concerned what state safety critical things you can't easily inspect like wheel and master cylinder get like after a similar period,
Richard

Re: Parts quality again (Rubber hoses)
Sadly too common a problem - time the suppliers sorted it out - and owners to complain. Sadly, a lot of Minor owners have themselves to blame and want the cheapest possible option, hence the poor quality we are all experiencing.
