I seem to remember sometime in th 1980's a company was going to make replacement woodwork in UPVC or fiber glass.
Does any one recall this? Did it happen?

Re: Traveller woodwork
There were rumours, but I don't think anyone got past the prototype. The trouble is the ash framework on a Traveller needs to flex as the vehicle moves, and as we all know upvc is only as good as the metal structure under it and this doesn't flex.
