Hi Guys

I have just bought a 1955 Moggie.
I have no idea about the servicing required on the car.
I therefore have the following questions
1. Which grease do you use on the grease points
2.How often should you grease them and where are they
3.How often should you change the oil
4.What other things should i be looking

Thanks for your assistance :D

Hello and welcome.

1. Castrol LM Grease
2. Every 500 miles front trunnions (3 points each side on front susp.), all others - prop shaft, clutch/brake pedal etc every 1000 miles or couple of months, whatever comes first.
3. Oil & filter every 2000 miles using good quality 20/50 (some will say service 6000 miles but I think that's far too long - the oil is already black after 500 miles).
4. It would be best to buy a manual as all servicing details are in that. In fact I have a manual for a SII - PM me if interested.

Moly grease is better - and 3000 miles is fine. Check/set the valve gaps every 3000 miles too.......
