On my country travels I came across this little independent garage run by a couple of hard working Sussex Men, when I peeked in, there it was.... the tailgate and the rear cab panel jumped out at me, "Is that a Morris Minor Pickup?" I exclaimed knowing full well that it was. The Mechanic was a kind fella, Under all that oil and grease his face cracked into a smile at my enthusiasm. I stood talking with him for quite some time.[frame]Image[/frame]

I was allowed a good look around it, the holes in the body exactly where I remember my own projects were. The wheel arches, the rear floor ect. The mechanic is doing it up for a paying customer, recons to have it on the road by the end of summer, I didn't have the cheek to ask specific financial question, not right to ask really. I imparted as much advice as I thought he could take without making assumptions with his professionalism, it is afterall his livelyhood. He was very interested in my project though. It really made my day, and made me realise I need another project.[frame]Image[/frame]

Great, David! It's always good to see a Minor getting restored. I'll be pleased to see you with another project! 8)

That sort of chance encounter is very , very satisfying....when you are able to stand back casting a " professional eye " over the vehicle.
Been there, done that..know the wrinkles and what exactly I looking at.
You've done the hard graft...just enjoy the moment and reflect on what you have learnt.
Priceless...I can sense the warm glow of satisfaction from here.
