JOKE OF THE WEEK, or not

I have had an old diesel AX for the last 8 years. A couple of weeks ago the clutch went and as i was thinking of getting rid of it soon I decided to scrap it. As I had insured it 10 weeks before I contacted the Insurers to cancel the policy. I heard nothing for two weeks so rang them to ask if there was going to be a refund. Well you could have knocked me down with a feather when I was told that the cancellation fee was more than the policy and after paying a years insurance in full, after 10 weeks I OWE THEM £28.
BE warned. Don't cancel your policy. It will cost you more ?????
Any thoughts
Thanks

Hi,
You could try talking to 'trading standards' about this, that insurance company seems to be well out of order.
Best wishes,
Mike.

These AX diesel engines are much sought after - for running on veg oil. I would like to see one in a Minor to see how it does!

£28, seriously? I'd let them keep it if they're that desperate for it!
