Can a crank be straightened?

G'day all,
I recently purchased a recon crankshaft from the UK, unfortunately it would appear that somewhere along it's journey here it has had a slight tumble. As a result, it would appear that it is ever so slightly bent, not discernible to the naked eye but blindingly obvious when fitted to the car. Torquing up the main bearing caps leaves the crankshaft completely seized, with only the front and rear main bearing caps torqued up, it turns with great effort and the rear end of the crankshaft has a quite obvious 2mm wobble. Given the amount of time and considerable expense to get it here I'm hoping it can be salvaged. Any thoughts?
