Well done! A great feeling isn't it!

My Traveller also recently passed the MOT with only one bottom trunnion needed. (And I have a feeling that was only because I ran out of grease on the pre MOT check and that was the only trunnion that didn't get greased just before the MOT so it felt "different" to the MOT man so was failed).
Cheers John - all comments IMHO

I wonder whether that'll happen.
I wouldn't mind betting that insurance companies will still insist on all cars having a current ticket.

Insurance companies dont ask if it has had an MOT?

Besides, Im with a classic car specialist (Lancaster insurance) and if your car is pre-1960, theyre fine with it.

Why? If you know what your're doing i.e checking brakes etc, theres no need for an MOT.

.
They will if you have a shunt.
Actually, they won't have to ask - they already know - it's on a database.
Otherwise the question might be 'was the (written off) car in a roadworthy condition'?
Thinking about it, that's a question they ask sometimes even WITH an MOT.

Fair point actually. Probably best to get an MOT then, as the responsibility of the car being in roadworthy condition would not be my problem, (besides liight bulbs etc)
