1951 mm engine oil stick

Post by philipdarragh »

hi , i have recently purchased a 1951 mm 918cc side valve which does not have the original engine oil dipstick as it does not have a 'stop' on it and you can push the dipstick to the bottom of the sump . can someone please tell me what the measurement is from the 'stop' on the original dipstick to the full mark so that i can mark my dipstick correctly , ps i have tried without success to buy the correct dipstick, thanks
