The crankshaft pully has just split in two !.
Before I spend half a day trying to undo the nut, is it right or left hand thread ? and will I need a pully drawer to get it off?.
I bet this is one of those jobs that looks simple enough but willturn out to be a right pain..

YES IT CAN BE A PAIN TO GET OFF, ESPECIALLY AS I WOULD EXPECT THIS WOULD BE THE FIRST TIME IT HAS BEEN OFF.
THERE IS A THREAD ON THE SITE FOR REMOVAL

It undoes in the conventional way (anti-clockwise from front). And I doubt you will need a puller. I have taken loads off and never needed one.

That's pure bad luck!
Right hand thread, otherwise the starting handle would undo it.

Replace it with a cast iron pulley from a Mini.
The Minor pressed metal ones have a habit of coming loose then falling apart.

Thanks for the advice, ring spanner and turning over on the starter undid the nut no problem, pully came off with ease.
And all with the rad and engine in place.
Job done..
