This is the timetable for the National Rally:


All events will take place in the arena unless otherwise stated.
The Potbelly Brewery will be opening the bar on Friday evening as well as on Saturday and Sunday. Catering will be available Saturday and Sunday from 9.00.am until 5.00.pm and on Saturday evening dependant upon demand.

Saturday 30th June
  • 11.00. am Vehicle Horn Sounding.
    You will be requested to sound your Morris Minor's horn to officially commence the proceedings before making your way to the arena for the 'Welcome' speeches!
  • 11.30. am InterBranch Challenge - Part 1
    Please send your nominated branch participants to the Arena commentary tent and let the competition begin.
  • 12.00. noon Eagle Heights Falconry Display.
    The first of two 30 minute spectacular flying displays by differing birds of prey.
  • 12.30. pm The Custom and Modified Register(sponsored by ESM & JLH Restorations)
  • 1.30. pm Moulton Morris Dancers
  • 2.00. pm Morris Minor Owners' Club Annual General Meeting. Main marquee.
  • 3.00. pm Eagle Heights Falconry Display.
    Another opportunity to witness these magnificent birds in flight.
  • 3.30. pm Topical 'Punch and Judy’, for adults, children and Minors!
  • 4.30. pm InterBranch Challenge - Part 2
    Participants should report to the arena commentary tent as the contest for the InterBranch trophy continues!

    Time to go for your BBQ/meal as the evenings festivities will commence
  • 7.30. pm Journey back in time when the main marquee reopens for our fabulous 1970's ABBA party.
  • 8.00. pm Fancy Dress parades for children and adults. Prizes will be awarded for the best themed costumes.
  • 8.30. pm Back to the 1970's with "Abba's Angels" live tribute band
Sunday 1st July
  • 11.00. am Chairman's address.
  • 11.05. am Concours Judging commences.
  • 11.15. am InterBranch Challenge - Part 3. Day 2 and the chance to catch up on points.
  • 12.00. noon Condition Class judging commences. If you wish your car to be judged please ensure the bonnet is raised.
  • 12.00. noon The Custom & Modified Register(sponsored by ESM & JLH Restorations)
  • 1.00. pm Punch & Judy
  • 2.00. pm InterBranch Challenge - Part 4. The last opportunity to score points and win the trophy!
  • 2.30. pm Moulton Morris Dancers
  • 3.00. pm Meet the Young Owners. The Future of the MMOC.
  • 3.30. pm Enter the Concours Cars.
  • 3.40. pm Prize GIving & Rally Closing Ceremonies. Sound your horns to close the Rally.
Other attractions over the weekend include a display of vehicles from the Morris Commercial Club, Branch Avenue, Footman James Insurance and ‘Practical Classics’ magazine who will be looking for your comments on the restoration efforts to the Editor’s Traveller. ‘Practical Classics’ will also have some ‘special subscription’ offers for MMOC members.
The Traders will be hoping to do good business throughout the weekend and the members autojumble will be held on Saturday. You may puchase Club Merchansdise, the office staff and all members of the National Committee will be present.
Rob Thomasson will provide Technical advice and Alan Scott will be demonstrating and advising on an unleaded cylinder head conversion with a prize draw for the finished item.

May I suggest a maximum of 5 seconds for the horn blowing and not one after the other! :-?

If you are arriving on Saturday and not Friday, its not an issue is it?

Not at all - many people cannot make it until after work on Saturday - although if you pre-book you may not have to queue to get in :wink:

Big question! My dad is selling Morris parts on the Saturday (car boot) what time should he arrive to set up?? Didnt get a time with the ticket.

David, he can get there from 8:00am onwards. The show opens at 11am as shown so plenty of set up time. I am also selling so come by and say hi in the morning (big red tent).

oh yes! Edit: not big red tent but big red gazebo :lol: You could charge an entry fee to your gazebo if it rains :wink:

Just a thought, does anyone know if you can take dogs as we may well bring ours.

Yes, dogs are welcome but they must be kept on a lead at all times.

Just a note for those of you planning on using a sat nav rather than a map to get there, the postcode for Kelmarsh Hall is NN6 9LY but sat nav users should enter NN6 9LX

I ordered tickets on Tuesday but they haven't arrived and I'm leaving in an hour to stay in Market Harborough before going to the National in the morning, so anybody any idea what do I do??

I Plan to drive down in the morning. I didnt book in advance as i didnt know if i could make it. If im in my moggie will i be allowed on site as i am a member of a club and want to display with them ? also what time should I arrive for as i assume that movement is limited once show opens at 11am.

No problem with turning up un-booked, just pay on the gate - everybody is welcome - you can normally get in from about 0830 ish.
