Hi guys,

Now I've managed to get the time to fix my leaks, and just wondering where to get the seals from.

I found out after a couple of weeks ago whn it rained, that water had crept its way inside, behind the two rear windows.

So I was wondering where to get two rear windows seals, and a rear window, as this rubbery seal looks like it is flaking. I have the series 2 minor, so it has the small rear window.

Also, how hard is it to do this myself? I.e taking out the glass and replacing seals.

I'll let others suggest the best source of new seals - but I can tell you the rear window is a horrible thing to put in........ So don't rush into it unless you absolutely have to..... consider all other options first.

The seals themselves look pretty new and in good nick (the rubbers not flaking or split etc) so I was wondering of using a black bathroom sealant around them.

Would this ruin the paint around the window, and would a sealant actually work? I would think it would do as sealants are used in bathrooms to prevent water from going in between gaps etc.

Any thoughts?

If it can be done 'neatly' is invisibly then it should work......

Most bathroom sealants are silicone based and not good news on paintwork, 3m do a non setting window sealant and some diy sheds do a mastic sealant in black for gutters but make sure it does not contain silicone, recently went into local diy place and asked for non silicone mastic sealant as could not find any, assistant came back with black silicone sealant
