Cost of petrol

It's nice to see the cost of petrol is coming down again for a while. £131 per ltr here in Gwent (Cwmbran - Newport) area

£1.31 Around here also Ray. May venture and spend a small fortune and fill up my modern, but £98 for for a full tank when i've just spent £300 on two front tyres may break the bank at the moment.

well my old transit camper run perfectly on vegi oil £1.00 a litre at tescos at the minute

Works pefectly on the old style diesel direct injection with rotary pump no good on the newer common rail electronically fire injector systems.And you can now legally use 2.500 litres per year without needing to inform the customs and excise,as if they think anyone would do that, to pay road tax duty on it.It was even better when it was only 60p a litre but that like everything else shot up,at one time it was dearer than diesel.Just need to add a bit of diesel or petrol in the winter to thin it down .The original diesel engine was designed to run on peanut oil I believe ,there being a surplus of the stuff in the U S .
