engine steady bar
hi, this will sound stupid i know, but i have just recieved a new (original) engine steady bar, and cannot for the life of me work out how and where it fits, i had a old mini years ago and remember that the bar on them went from the bulk head to top of engine, this bar i have consists of an adjustable bar and two brackets, could anybody help please regards steve

Hi,
From left hand(drivers side) of cross member close to left hand corner of battery to left hand corner of head. A bracket fits where heater pipe is. If you just google morris minor engines and request images loads will come up and show you what I am not explaining very well. Do not over tighten it as too much vibration will be felt through the car body.

thanks for that, ive now just worked it out, vibrations through the body is what im trying to stop, regards steve
