i have'nt a clue!! he did'nt do that kind of thing. old watch and clock repairs, old guns, he was a member of the black powder club. flintlock pistols etc, and his vintage motorbikes so what he used these for is a mystery to me

they look like glass cutting tools.
i too found a few in an old tool bag i was given. Asked my dad what they were for and he suggest glass cutting. You score the line with the wheel (i'd imagine they were sharp once!) and (on mine at least) use the other end, which had a series of different width slots in, to lever the glass and crack it along the score.

I can imagine them being used to press leather, fabric or paper into a crevice, does that prompt any ideas? Had I acquired tools like those I would keep them "just because you never know"

They do
look like leather working tools
