Apparently you have to change your photo every 10 years or get a large fine

Just received my reminder from DVLA. It's just another money making scheme - They reckon your appearance will have changed dramatically in the last 10 years

A little bit more grey hair perhaps but I still look like me.

What is this photo licence of which you speak my paper licence is still good for several years yet.

just sent mines off,£20!

If you never move house or change your name you can keep the old one, however, once they get you........

My Appearance has certainly changed dramatically in the last 2 years, let alone last 10!

I still think i look like i did 40 years ago ,then I look in the mirror my moggie has aged better than me

My Licence certainly has no 'photo' - and is in many pieces now - so badly worn that I can't see the renewal date.... Is there a way I can find out from DVLA or shall I just wait for them to send me a reminder........

I'm the same as others, still have a bit of paper (still have my original 'Red book' one as well pre the tatty pink paper one) but....

Be very careful updating a licence as DVLA have been known to drop specific user classes from them as the groups changed over the years: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Dr ... /DG_180694

I still have pre 1976 definitions of Group A, D & E

For the old licences it's your 70th Birthday....

I too have an old green and pink licence that I have carefully cellotaped together and keep in its original crumbling plastic sleeve.

I have had it for twenty three years now and it shows all of the 15 points I have accrued over that time.

I should like to add that it is not big and not clever to speed and I am a reformed driver now.

Can't wait to get my Cobra on the road!
