Marina disc question

Hi
I wonder if anyone can help?
I have a marina disc brake conversion that I bought as part of a job lot several years ago and did nothing with.
I've now put it onto my traveller as I've recently changed to a 1300 ital engine.
I understand that there are several variations on the marina conversion and I wonder which sort I have.
The hubs fit the stud pattern of the minor wheels. There is a sleeve that fits on the minor stub axel and the hub fits snugly on that. The outer bearing appears to be a tapered one. There is a single castellated nut (?not the same as the marina which has a plain nut and a nut retainer).
My question is how tight should I tighten the castellated nut.
I understand that on a marina it shouldn't be as tightly screwed on as on the standard minor set up.
Also the leading outer edge of the calliper is quite close to the edge of the hub (just a few mm clearance). The hub spins freely but I wasn't sure if this was normal for this set up.
Thanks
Tom
