Glass tail lamp, boots and gaskets

On my sreies II, 1954, I have a delema relating to my rear tail lamps. Working from the inside out there is:
1 rubber boot
2 pot metal spacer
3 nothing
4 glass lens
5 gasket
6 trim
It seems to me that maybe where there is currently "nothing" between the spacer and the lens, there ought to be a gasket, or is my gaket currenlty the wrong side of the lens?
It also appears that the glass has been broken by the screws being overtightened, but i'm not sure the sharp edges arn't from original manufacture.
I'm considering making myself a tool to manufacture the boot and possibly gasket as they seem not to be available (I work in the plastic and automotive industry). Are the boots available? Would anybody like to buy some? Does anyone know where I could get the original part drawing?
