I am debating whether to respray the morris the original colour or to go mad and spray it with a modern colour and have some fun (I can always spray it back!)
Its a 1967 Morris 1000 and although the colour codes can be found on the web --->
Colour codes here
<--- along with a name for the colour there are a number of possibilities for this colour.
To me it looks like a slightly blue/grey colour and the trim inside is all of the same colour chairs/dash etc. Its not grey and its not quite blue.
From this rather limited description could anyone suggest the most likely colour..? I can send some images if required.
Thanks

I`m with you Mark definatly Smoke Grey which is really pale blue, Rolf have a look at one of MR A Series postings as his signature shows his Smoke Grey Saloon.

Smoke grey is usualy easy to describe as 'light blue' but at the rallies every car seems to be a different shade so I would not be at all surprised if this was just a very grey shade of the colour.

Yes, I've seen many shades of smoke grey as well. A newly restored saloon at last year's Hillingdon show certainly looked to have a significant hint of grey. By rights my 2 door should have been smoke grey when built (1969) but I actually use Bermuda blue for re-sprays!

whats the viewpoint on doing a respray in non original colours..? Thinking of a red and white two tone. Could always revert back to original I guess when it comes to sale time.

your car your choice....
Personally Maroon B is my fave colour on a Mog, but i'm lucky as it's a standard colour... (not so standard for a series II but nobody's complaining)

Yes, it's nice. But I think PERSONALLY your Trav with a cheesegrater grille and painted in black would REALLY transform the car. But then again I prefer black on split-screen cars.

It will devalue it in the purist/enthusiasts eyes. Like metallics, modern colours and 2 tones. But as Ray said, it's your car, so do what you want!! If you are keeping it forever then go for some scheme that you like, but if you are planning to sell it then you will probably get more for it in an original colour.
