My father is now in his 80's and used to own (& be very proud of) a Morris Minor 1000 Traveller in blue with the registration
FJJ 612J. I would like to ask if anyone could possibly tell me if this car is still on the road? still safely looked after somewhere? or has it gone to to the dark side? I believe he sold it some years ago to a person in Suffolk? I would be grateful if anyone could provide any information. Thank you.

It's still around !

The vehicle details for FJJ 612J are:
Date of Liability 01 10 2012
Date of First Registration 01 03 1971
Year of Manufacture 1971
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1098cc
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type PETROL
Export Marker N
Vehicle Status SORN Not Due
Vehicle Colour BLUE
Vehicle Type Approval Not Available

You may be able to persuade DVLA to give you the current owner's details (for a small fee) - if you have a good reason. You can try saying you have past history to pass to the owner, something like that......

You could try that approach but you'll be wasting your money! The DVLA are governed by Data Protection legislation so will only release personal information if you can show 'reasonable cause' for wanting the details. 'Reasonable cause' is defined as requiring information that relates to a vehicle, or it's use, following incidents where there may be liability on the part of the owner.

I've updated your thread title to include details of the reg number as someone on here may know where it is.

Ok well - just say they have parked on your land and you want to send them a fine....... That's what the parking scammers do, and they get the details all the time........

You could always contact the Morris Minor Owner's Club - liz.saxon@mmoc.org.uk or ring 01332 291675.

If the vehicle is owned by a member they would be able to pass on any details you have.

yes it is, but what is being suggested is that the MMOC might get in touch with the owner on behalf of kevtheplumb, as opposed to the MMOC giving the details of the current owner to kev so he can get in touch with them. Therefore any details provided by kev would be given with the express permission of sharing the data with a third party which is fine under data protection.
