Track Rod Ends - loose fit

Has anybody replaced their TRE's recently? Did they seem to be a sloppy fit, even when screwed right up? I've just tried 4 new ones and there is noticeable play on the threads. This is the same on another (original) rack that I have. The one that came off was a much snugger fit.

These are safety critical parts - they need to be tight... Send them back.

Yes I will. It was another of those wonderfull moments when you think "I'm so glad I had one of those in spare" only to find the part don't fit.
