How do i remove the sill covers,so as i can inspect the real sills,i did think the sill covers where the sills,but found out that is not true.

If you mean the sloping cover underneath where the door closes then there are five bolts accessible from underneath. They pass through holes in the cover and the real sill, but also clamp the finisher (straight bit below the door). Once the bolts are loose, the the finisher lifts off - it has slots that go over the bolts. If the bolts have been in place for a long while then it will probably be better to grind them off and fit new ones!

Yes simmitc thats where i mean,just as you described,do the bolts have easy access ??

The bolts are easy to get at - from under the car
If they're like mine you will want new ones. Sometimes there are a couple of screws through the corners of the sill cover from inside the car but you will have seen those.

The end under the finisher can be accessed with a flat ring spanner, the inboard end usually needs an open ended or mole grips as it is often too close to the sill to allow a ring to fit. It depends which way they were fitted last time round as to whether the nut is on the inboard or outboard end. Worst job may be removing old underseal, rust, and mud - hence the grinder option!

Maybe best to let sleeping rust lie.....

lets hope there isn't any in there,if its sound give it a good coating of waxoil as thick as you can get it on.
