Hi All,
Can anybody say what this object was originally used for - it can't possibly have been designed for what it was being used for in my car! :-?[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

The top portion has been sawn and was originally a complete circle.

A coat hanger would be quite nice but it is actually bolted to the metal parcel shelf behind the passenger glove box and holds the wiper motor!
Now from the drawings I have seen it would appear that the motor is mounted to a fixed rectangular bracket on the car body with a triangular plate between the motor and the body bracket and held at three points by small bolts. It also appears to be located on the driver's side.
It seems that at some point in the past some Frankenstein engineering has taken place in the depths of my car and this giant rocker shaft bracket type thingy has been butchered and forced into service as a motor bracket.
Perhaps I should rename the car Igor, he seems to have a few weird and wonderful bits stitched on! :D[frame]Image[/frame]
