Hi guys,am wondering if anyone can help me please!!I have an oil leak that is coming from just behind the sump, its not serious but never the less its there, and i want to fix it.I have just ordered a gasket set including the rear oil seal for this problem.I have had a few suggestions that it is probably the rear engine oil seal,so thats why i have ordered those things.I have looked in my manual but cant find anywhere which suggests how to go about doing it.Can anybody help please.
Pete

Is the leak IN FRONT of the backplate - ie running down the rear face of the sump/front face of the backplate - or from the jiggle pin in the bellhousing ?

Take great care with the jacking up....... Support the car very thoroughly before going under......

It's prob just leaking from the back of the sump. Mine continues to dribble despite changing the gaskets twice. Just get used to it and carry a baking tray in the boot for when you park on someone's lovely clean driveway...

Cheers david53,i have had the car 4 weeks now and have not got round to checking it yet. When i get the chance i will investigate thoroughly.I can see by just looking under its just behind the sump.I will let you know my friend what i discover. This site is great for advice, very friendly people ,just like your self.
Thanks everyone.
