seat belts

My car has static seat belts still fitted,I will have to be changing them to inertia.Is there a particular type to buy and are they easy to fit ??????

Ease of fitting depends on how rusty the existing fittings are! If the bolts on the old ones undo OK, then the mountings can be used for the new ones. However, what type and age of Minor are we talking about - specific fittings vary. beware of the Securon recommended belts. Despite much evidence to the contrary, they still recommend the wrong model - the belt is too short for comfort. However, one of their other models fits perfectly. I'll try to look at the part numbers later.

My car is a 2 door saloon 1098 1967 model,thanks for your help so far,anything else would be most grateful.

The Securion belts are OK for the front, it is the rear belts for the Traveller which are too short.

A '67 2 door will have the mounting point for the belt top bracket, located just below the side window, a little way behind the B-post. The mounting for the reel will be in the vertical side of the floor pan / sill. The buckle should be mounted to the base of the tunnel side, just behind the rear of the front seats. You will probably need to drill a hole and fit a backing plate - unless you can use the fitting for the static belt.
