Hi all, I need to adjust the ride hight so I need to adjust the torsion bars. Now I read the haynes manual and it says I need to take the wish bones apart. Can I not just undo the damperm from the top trunion to unload the bars in order to adjust the back end. Hope that makes sence.
Thanks Paul

No - adjust at the front -it's very easy to do - I used to do it roadside at the start of rallies ! You don't even have to take the wheel off once you know what you are doing.......

I take it thats pull wish bones apart and move them on the splines. Sounds easy enough but will the wishbone come off easer than the rear adjustment if they havent been striped for 25 years ?

I think you have much better chance of success at the front. But do soak with Plus gas or similar release oil well in advance...

Check out posts on here BEFORE you take apart the suspension arms they are under a LOT of tension and could do you some damage. Once the tension is released splitting the arms is relatively easy, though driving the splined arm back is more of an art. But once you've done one.........
