Wedding Car required - Stoke Newington/Hackney area

Hi.

My daughter's best friend Natalie is getting married on Saturday 8th September and has asked if I can help source a Morris Minor for use as a Wedding Car to take her and her father from Stoke Newington to Hackney Register Office.
I am of course hoping that one of our members from one of the London branches may be able to help? Please note that she is NOT looking for a convertible - she says it's the wrong time of year and would prefer either a traveller or a saloon.

If you are able to help or offer any advice please post your reply on here - I will attempt to check daily!

Unfortunately I live in the North west so have nobody I can approach directly.

Many thanks.

Keith Sartain
Chair, Sefton Branch.

Welcome to the message board Keith. Natalie already posted here around 6 weeks ago asking the same thing: http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=43564

Might be worth contacting the North London & Middlesex branch: christineburrows (at) btinternet.com

Hello Keith,

I usually do weddings in my convertible called "Dibble" and have done weddings in October and March as well! However, if the bride prefers a saloon to a convertible, I will have my white 4-door saloon called "Madeleine" available by September.

Please have a look at my wedding car website. www.johngmatthews.co.uk

many thanks

Regards

John

Also, she's planning to buy her wedding dress from this site buy wedding dresses here and want's to hear your opinions too about the wedding dress shop if it's really worth it. Since she's with me now and my daughter while creating this post. :)

Hello Keith,

It's lovely that you're looking to help your daughter's best friend find a Morris Minor for her wedding day. While I'm not a member of any London branch, I suggest posting on social media or reaching out to local classic car clubs to see if they can provide any leads. Alternatively, you could try contacting local vintage car rental companies to see if they have any Morris Minors available for hire.

I hope you're able to find the perfect car for Natalie's wedding day! Best of luck in your search.

Definitely mad to resurrect this after 10+ years and sadly the poster in 2012, Keith, is no longer with us.

1 random user post. Name with random numbers after it. Smacks of spam/bot etc.

Why would an actual human join a forum group and post that as a first post? Doesn’t make any sense.

That would certainly make more sense John, either that or it's truly random.
