I used to fit a version of this to the Bristol bus chassis that were made in the 1960s by Bristol Commercial Vehicles and they worked very well the oil we used if I remember was very thick ie EP90 ish but also very sticky hope this helps

I've got a version of this sort of thing fitted to a couple of classics, but the Bijur system is operated by a foot pedal, once per day then once per 100 miles.

They are a pain. Each outlet needs a carefully calibrated "drip plug", or all the lubricant takes the easy way out through the joint with the shortest run of pipe or the most wear. The result is that the kingpins get so much oil that it gets into the front brakes, and the rear spring leaves and shackles get none. The flexible hoses or coils of metal pipe tend to crack, again resulting in oil starvation. I've disconnected three branches on one of my cars, and substituted nipples that I can use an oil gun on.

It also relies on the main reservoir having a perfectly-operating valve at its outlet, or the odd drips on the garage floor turn into oil slicks under every corner.

There's really nothing to beat getting under there every couple of weeks with the greasegun - you know the grease has got through, and you look for other impending problems at the same time.
